This standard duplex outlet cover is hand-decorated with authentic Navajo sand painting art, turning an everyday fixture into a small piece of Southwest landscape. The front face depicts a classic desert scene: two layered mesa buttes in amber, orange, and dark brown rise from a warm sandy desert floor against a vivid turquoise sky, with two birds soaring in silhouette above the horizon. In the foreground, a pair of teal agave or yucca plants fan outward from dark brown earth mounds, their radiating fronds framing the lower outlet opening, while orange vertical cactus or reed accents flank both sides of the plate. The sandy natural ground color of the sand painting itself serves as the background, giving the whole piece a warm, earthy depth that paint alone cannot achieve.
