Hand-Carved Olive Wood Nativity Scene Sculpture

This nativity scene is carved in layers, giving it real depth and dimension. Mary and Joseph kneel beside the infant Jesus at the center, framed by a carved palm tree to one side and a guiding star above. An angel watches over the scene from the top, and two sheep rest quietly in the foreground. The scalloped base and textured palm fronds and angel wings show the level of detail the artisans put into each piece.

Carved from a single piece of genuine olive wood in Jordan, the warm honey tones and deep marbled brown streaks of the grain run through the whole scene. Every piece comes out with its own distinct pattern because of it.
