Hand-Carved Olive Wood Crucifix with Silver Corpus and Incense Relic

This crucifix is built from genuine olive wood in the budded cross style, three rounded buds at the end of each arm representing the Holy Trinity. The polished wood surface shows the full marbled grain, honey tones and deep brown veins running through the piece. A silver-toned metallic corpus of Christ is mounted at the center with an INRI scroll above.

What sets this piece apart is the base. A small circular brass-rimmed glass window is set into the bottom of the cross, enclosing a relic of incense. It adds a layer of spiritual significance that goes beyond the visual. At 7 inches tall it works well on a wall, a home altar, or a shelf.
