This little ornament packs a lot of detail into 3.55 inches. An angel holds a five-pointed Star of Bethlehem, and carved into the center of the figure is an open-work nativity silhouette, Mary and Joseph kneeling by the manger, cut all the way through the wood so light passes through. The top of the piece retains the original dark bark of the olive branch, a natural live-edge detail that gives it a rustic, organic feel against the smooth polished wood below.
The grain does what olive wood grain does: warm honey tones running through deep brown veins in that high-contrast marbled pattern. Each one is hand-carved, so the shading and grain placement will vary slightly. Pre-drilled hole at the top for a string or hook.
Wipe occasionally with a soft cloth and a small drop of olive oil to keep the grain vibrant.
