A striking bear-shaped pueblo pottery sculpture by artist Luna, signed on the underside. The stylized bear form sits low and wide with two hollow tubular legs and a smooth rounded back. The upper half is glazed in speckled sky blue with a gleaming liquid gold luster rim line that traces the boundary between glaze and clay. The front face features a deeply carved pueblo cliff dwelling scene filled with liquid gold luster, with multiple window and door cutouts that glow warm gold against the cream clay. The lower body and legs are left in natural unglazed cream speckled clay. The interior is hollow and open at the top. A one of a kind display piece that brings together traditional pueblo imagery and contemporary gold luster technique.
