The Wolf Kachina is a deeply respected figure in Pueblo tradition, representing one of the most skilled hunters of the natural world. The wolf is seen as a guide and protector, and in ceremony the Wolf Kachina carries that same energy, steady, watchful, and purposeful. This 6-inch figure is handcrafted by Jacida and DeWayne Loley of Shiprock, New Mexico, with hand-painted detail throughout and a detachable mask that can be removed and held on its own.
The feather and textile accents are applied by hand, and the overall feel of the piece is grounded and strong. Because each doll is made entirely by hand, colors and markings will vary slightly from the photos, making yours one of a kind.
Care: Handle gently around feather and fabric accents. Dust lightly with a soft dry brush. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.
