The Priest Killer Kachina carries one of the more striking names in Pueblo tradition, rooted in the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 when the Pueblo peoples drove out Spanish colonial rule. This 6-inch figure is handcrafted by Jacida and DeWayne Loley of Shiprock, New Mexico, and features a detachable mask that can be removed and appreciated on its own. Each doll is shaped and painted entirely by hand, with feather and textile accents that reflect the care and tradition behind every piece.
The detachable mask adds an interactive quality that makes this doll especially interesting as a collectible. Because each piece is made by hand, colors and details will vary slightly from the photos, making yours one of a kind.
