This 6 inch Chief Kachina is handcrafted by Jacida and DeWayne Loley, artists from Shiprock, New Mexico. Known as Eototo in Hopi tradition, the Chief Kachina is one of the most revered figures in the kachina world, a spiritual leader who watches over the village and speaks on behalf of the people to the spirit realm. Each doll is shaped and painted by hand, with ceremonial markings, feather accents, and textile details that reflect the weight and dignity this figure carries.

In Pueblo culture, Eototo's presence in ceremony isn't taken lightly. He represents the community's relationship with the natural world and the responsibility of those who lead it.
