This 3-inch Owl Kachina is handcrafted by Jacida and DeWayne Loley, artists from Shiprock, New Mexico. The Owl Kachina has a quiet but commanding presence, with a yellow face, dark spotted markings, and feather accents that echo the natural look of the bird. Each doll is shaped and painted by hand, with fabric and feather details that add texture and depth to the overall form.
In Pueblo tradition, the Owl spirit is associated with wisdom, awareness, and protection, often seen as a guardian that watches over the home. Because each piece is made by hand, colors and details will vary slightly, making yours one of a kind.
