This 3-inch Eagle Kachina is handcrafted by Jacida and DeWayne Loley, artists from Shiprock, New Mexico. The Eagle Kachina is one of the most sacred and revered figures in Pueblo tradition, representing vision, freedom, and the connection between the earth and the sky. Each doll is shaped and painted by hand, with the striking markings and proud stance of the eagle captured in careful detail and finished with feather and textile accents that honor the bird this figure embodies.
In Pueblo culture, the Eagle is a messenger between the people and the Creator, carrying prayers upward on its wings. The Eagle Dance is one of the most celebrated ceremonies, performed to bring blessings, strength, and clarity to the community. Because each piece is made by hand, colors and details will vary slightly, making yours one of a kind.
